Being a student at Ayurdaay Nilayam I encourage everyone who want to dive deeper into the healing wisdom of Ayurveda.
Therefore I like to introduce you to the ‘Ayurvedic Therapy training’ offered by Ayurdaay Nilayam.

For those who are eager to specialize in Ayurveda, Ayurdaay Nilayam offers a unique two year program to become a certified Ayurvedic Therapist.

Whether it is for personal use or to make it your profession, this study will take you into the depths of Ayurvedic Science. It is an allround 300 hrs (2 year) study with all aspects integrated: nutrition, lifestyle, massage, treatments, herbs and how to diagnose and guide your patients.

  • KTNO Certified
    This means the study meets all the criteria that the Institute for Naturopathic studies (KNTO) sets.
  • 30 hours introduction course
    For those who are not sure yet Ayurdaay Nilayam offers a 30 hrs introduction course. These 30 hrs are the first 30 hrs of the 300 hrs full program and cover the basic principles of Ayurveda.   • Learn from the classical texts
    Ayurveda becomes widespread and its popularity is growing, that is wonderful, but also implies different interpretations and misconceptions.
    Therefore Ayurdaay Nilayam uses the classical texts of the ancient ‘Ashtanga Hridayam’ – ‘The heart of all eight branches of Ayurveda’ – as its main reference.
  • Learn from experts
    Miriam Alberts is founder of Ayurdaay Nilayam and has over 15 years experiene as an Ayurvedic therapist. Dr. Shailesh is Indian trained Ayurvedic doctor and an expert on Ayurvedic Science. Read their full bio here.
  • Two year program – 300 hrs
    This study prepares you fully to become put Ayurveda into practice as a Therapist, but takes only two years and is organized in such a way that you can combine it with your work. This makes it more accesible and manageable. In the studyguide you can read the exact outline and dates of the program.
  • Small groups
    With maximum of 12 participants this study ensures all space for attention, discussion, questions, flexibility and special requests.
  • Practical: treat your own patients
    Apart from theory and individual study Ayurdaay Nilayam emphasis the importance of real life practice. From the start of the course you will be encouraged to find your own patients who you will follow and treat over the course of the study – and maybe even want to come to India with you – where you will be working as an intern in an Ayurvedic clinic for several weeks (this can of course also be a family member of friend. It is not mandatory to take anyone with you).
  • Internship in India
    Included within the program is a unique internship in Kerala, India where you will be working together with experienced Ayurvedic doctors and are able to apply your knowledge and skills in real life. This internship takes place towards the end of year two, but can be planned flexible.
  • Specialize
    Already during the course you are able to specialize into a subject of your interest. F.e. female hormonal disbalances, arthritis, burn-out/stress, skin diseases etc. This gives you the ability to become an expert on that matter.
