Ayurveda & Healthy transition to the wisdom – Perimenopause, menopause & Postmenopause
It is alarming to see that nowadays women go earlier to perimenopause (transition towards menopause). Not because meno pause is a bad thing in itself (not at all!), but because there are certain factors that cause early meno pause. In other words, early meno pause often expresses an imbalance due to lifestyle factors.

In this workshop we want to cultivate more respect and awareness to the different phases of the menopause – the peri meno pause, the meno pause and the post meno pause – so that you can foster yourself with a happy transition through all its phases.

We will respectfully discuss and eliminate myths and taboos concerning the meno pause; you will learn how your ‘doshic make-up’ (your constitution) can cause tendencies to imbalance during this phase; and you will learn how to balance yourself naturally through each phase in a physical, emotional and spiritual way.

Enjoy it, learn to receive and create from your feminine wisdom, focused on all women and their partners. Let’s pass our knowledge to future generations!

The workshop consists of theory and practice. The theory part will take about 1,5 to 2 hours. We take a 30 min break and then we continue with practical yoga exercises.

  • We start with an introduction of ourselves and the origin of Ayurveda. This introduction is part of every workshop.
Lola Peña will continue with the first part – the theory – of this workshop.
  • We will clarify the menopause with its different periods, you will learn what are the factors which indicate your menopause age and what are the reasons of having an early menopause.
  • The ayurvedic point of view and how each dosha (constitution) can experience their tendencies towards imbalance. What are the factors that cause symptoms to be present in the physical, emotional and spiritual plane.
  • How to create the right environment to really enjoy and ease this transitional phase. How our family can support us, and how we should let our soul shine.
  • How to increase Ojas (body resources), rejuvenate and eliminate obstructions.
  • We will eliminate taboos and myths, covering subjects which usually are not spoken, for deep comprehension and understanding of this phase from women, but also for men.
  • How to support your body when common problems appear.
  • We will also discuss the deeper layer of your discomfort using a special technique called biodecoding. Biodecoding gives more insight into the emotion behind your problems.

  • Supporting the Ayurvedic knowledge about meno pause, there are a number of very effective yoga postures (asanas) and pranayama (breathing exercises) that support a smooth transition.
  • Amber guides you through a practice which includes exercises that activate the glands (for hormonal balance), support the cleansing process during this transitional state, pacify the doshas and calm and rejuvenate your system.
  • We conclude with a delicious savasana and you go home with a calm mind & lots of practical information to honor your meno pause.

  1. Ayurvedic knowledge
Ayurveda is becoming increasingly popular in the West and even modern science is increasingly looking for remedies and solutions in Ayurveda. Yet there is often little understanding of this science. This is your chance to dive deeper into this ‘Science of Life’.
  2. Unique care for women
In Western society the masculine energy prevails. There is an emphasis on: competition, action, rational thinking, the goal, the individual etc. Even though all women also carry masculine energy, there seems to be little or no space left to support and nourish our feminine site. The female energy is about: sharing, together, surrender, intuition, the process and the whole rather than the individual.
The emphasis on the masculine creates all sorts of disbalances in women (and men!) – the physical, mental and emotional body. Therefore we created these workshops, to give you tools to nourish and celebrate your femininity and maintain or restore balance.
  3. All round perspective
You can choose to follow a single workshop of the series ‘Ayurveda for women’. However, participating all 4 workshops will give you a deeper and all-round insight into women’s health from Ayurvedic perspective. We really recommend this.
  4. Gives self-insight
From Ayurvedic point of view everybody has a unique ‘constitution’ and therefore different needs in order to maintain its perfect health. Through this workshop you will gain better understanding of how your ‘make-up’ is effected by the menopause and what you can do about it yourself using natural remedies. No matter what stage you are, you will benefit from it.
Self-knowledge is the key to self-care.
  5. Practical & empowering
You will learn how you can easily support your body – mind – soul and how to restore their balance from home, with home remedies, diet, routine and exercises. No chemical are involved, but instead, awareness and self-refection.
  6. Get started at home
With all tips & tricks you go home you will get inspired to start immediately, whether you are in your 20ths, 30ths, 40ths, 50ths, 60ths, etc. The sooner you gain this wisdom the better.
